Today, with the presence of local authorities, members of the Ma´u Henua Board, UN representatives, and special guests, an exciting event took place at Tahai. The ceremony marked the inauguration of a Braille plaque and replicas of the Ahu Vai Uri, Ahu Ko Te Riku, and Ahu Tahai.

This significant achievement represents a major step towards inclusion and accessibility on Rapa Nui. The Braille plaque and replicas of the monuments will provide visually impaired individuals with the opportunity to explore and understand this heritage site.

Vaitiare Rivas Pakarati, a passionate advocate for inclusion on the island, led this project for an extended period. With the support of sculptors Johny Tuki and Pau Hereveri, Vaitiare's vision became a reality. Ma´u Henua, who has supported Vaitiare's projects from the beginning, adapted the space and built the necessary foundations for the installation of the plaque and replica.

The ceremony concluded with a moving concert by the group "Eleva Inclusión Musical," held in front of Ahu Ko Te Riku.

This achievement highlights Rapa Nui's commitment to inclusion and respect for its cultural heritage, representing a significant milestone in its journey towards accessibility for all visitors and residents of the island.
